Information we collect
When you create an account or request service, we collect your name, email address, password hash, daytime phone number when provided, service selection, notes, and submission dates. We record account verification, email preferences, preference history, and the version and date of terms accepted at registration. Passwords are hashed rather than stored as readable text. Verification and password-reset tokens are stored as hashes. Hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, browser and request information, and access logs; the application also keeps limited abuse-prevention records.
How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts, respond to inquiries, arrange and provide services, maintain customer and service records, secure the website, and honor communication preferences. Please do not put passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information in a service request.
Email communications
New accounts request occasional MKIA service news and offers by default, as disclosed at signup. Email verification confirms these messages for new subscribers. A previous unsubscribe remains in effect unless you request and confirm a new subscription. You can stop promotions in My Account or through the personal unsubscribe link in a marketing email, without signing in. Service replies, security messages, and other necessary account communications are separate from promotions. We do not send marketing text messages through this website.
Cookies and service providers
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in and protect forms. This website currently has no advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Our hosting, DNS, and email providers process information needed to deliver their services; messages sent to MKIA may also be stored in our business mailbox. We may share relevant information with providers needed to perform an agreed service, or where legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. We do not sell customer contact lists or share them for third parties' independent marketing.
Security and retention
Customer records are stored outside the public website folder, with restricted administration access. We use HTTPS, password hashing, and access controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We keep service and correspondence records as reasonably needed for ongoing work, accounting, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Backups, exported business records, and email copies may remain subject to those purposes and their normal retention processes. We retain a suppression record to honor unsubscribes.
Account deletion and privacy requests
You can delete your website login in My Account by confirming your password and deletion choice. This removes the login, password hash, verification/reset tokens, and access from other sessions, and stops marketing associated with the verified account. It does not automatically erase previous service requests, business correspondence, or the unsubscribe record. For a broader request to access, correct, or delete personal information, email us. We may verify your identity before acting and retain information where needed for legal obligations, services, security, or resolving disputes. If you disagree with our response, reply to request a review. Applicable rights depend on your location and the laws that apply; nothing in this policy limits those rights.
Children and changes
The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied information improperly, contact us. We will post policy changes here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
